B.A./M.A. Program

The joint B.A./M.A. program allows students to receive both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in Politics in five years. Eligibility is limited to those with a grade point average of 3.5 or above at the end of the sophomore year. Applicants must take the GRE, apply to the graduate program of the department, and be admitted.

Students interested in this option should consult the Department Chair or Undergraduate Coordinator by the beginning of the junior year to work out their program. B.A./ J.D. Program

The joint B.A./J.D. program allows a student to complete a bachelor's degree and a law degree in six years. Eligibility is limited to those with a grade point average of 3.6 or above at the end of the sophomore year. Applicants must also score a minimum of 35-38 on the LSAT in their junior year. Pre-Law Track

The department offers a pre-law track for undergraduate students interested in focusing on law-related politics courses. Students following the track must take POL 220 (Introduction to Law) and three additional pre-law courses in the major.
