Many of our majors study abroad for a semester while pursuing their degrees. The University offers an impressive diversity of study abroad programs that allow students to learn a diversity of topics in places around the world.
Three study abroad programs in particular are unique to Catholic University and tailored specifically to politics majors. Each involves a semester of coursework taken overseas, combined with a for-credit legislative internship. These parliamentary internship programs offer a once-in-a-lifetime chance to intern in a legislature abroad. These internships tend to offer far more responsibilities and opportunities to students than would ordinarily be available with an internship on Capitol Hill.
The programs include:
- the British Parliamentary Internship program (in London, England), offered in the spring and summer;
- the Irish Parliamentary Internship program (in Dublin, Ireland), offered in the fall and spring; and
- the European Union Internship program (in Leuven, Belgium), offered in the fall and spring.
